A Little About Theo
I've been playing music anywhere that would have me since I was a kid growing up in Des Moines, Iowa. Long before I ever picked up a guitar, I was listening closely to country radio in the backseat of my parents’ car, trying to understand why certain songs could make time feel like it slowed down.
Those early years shaped how I approach music today. My sound is rooted in the country I grew up on — the storytelling and musicianship of the 90s and early 2000s — inspired by artists like Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Luke Combs, Eric Church, and Dean Brody.
Today I split my time between Boston and Nashville, studying Voice Performance and Songwriting while continuing to write, perform, and learn from the stages and writing rooms around me. Whether it's a songwriter round with twenty people locked in on every word or a packed bar ready for a night out, my goal is the same: to write songs and give performances that make people feel truly present and connected to the music.
“At every stage of this work, I've been a music student first.
I learn from the stage, from other writers and musicians, from listening closely, and from paying attention.
That mindset shapes every show I play.”
